Douglas S. Pool, M.D. received his M.D. degree from LSU Medical School, completed his adult psychiatry residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine, and completed his child psychiatry fellowship at LSU School of Medicine. He is board certified in adult, child and administrative psychiatry. He has served on both the Clinical Faculty of Tulane School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and the Clinical Faculty of LSU School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Pool is a graduate of the New Orleans Psychoanalytic Institute and has been affiliated with the Institute since 1985 where he is a guest instructor. His special areas of interest are intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with children, adolescents and adults.
