Studies
in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy The New Orleans Psychoanalytic Institute, in conjunction with the New Orleans Psychoanalytic Foundation, offers a two-year continuing education program of Studies in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the American Psychoanalytic Association and the New Orleans Psychoanalytic Institute. The American Psychoanalytic Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians and takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity. The American Psychoanalytic Association designates this educational activity for a maximum of 52 hours in category I credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The Louisiana Counseling Association is approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors and Nationally Certified Counselors. It is the responsibility of the provider of this program to abide by the LCA and NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. This program meets the criteria for 52 hours of continuing education credit for Louisiana Professional Counselors and National Certified Counselors according to LCA and NBCC provider policy. As the New Orleans Psychoanalytic Institute is an affiliate of the American Psychoanalytic Association, psychologists and social workers may submit this activity for 52 hours of continuing education.
